American Village in Okinawa

This was a neat little shopping and restaurant district in Okinawa City. It's called American Village because it has a few American restaurants such as Tony Roma's, Nathan's hotdogs and A & W, but most of what is there is Japanese
The village stores were all very pretty.

A lot of things were written in English here.

The big ferris whell at the entrance.

This store had lots of odd and in type items. Landon enjoyed trying on the different costumes. He has decided that he wants to be a pirate for Halloween this year.

The kids LOVED Yogurtland. Customers pick up a cup and go down the line filling their cup with as many flavors as yogurt as they like. We tryed chocolate, vanilla, cheesecake, coffee and strawberry. Then at the end of the line there is a topping bar with every imaginable topping. The clerk then weighs your yogurt and you pay by the ounce. I ended up paying almost $ 20 for two cups of yogurt! I hope Jim doesn't read this. On the up side, it was plenty of yogurt for all four of us:)

Landon is obviously trying to hard to give me a smile.

Enjoying our $ 20 yogurt.

Pan Man-the icon of Japanese children.

I love finding the mess ups with translations.

Lunch at a taco stand. They were soooo good.

American Village at night all lit up. Tonight, we ate at a Japanese noodle house. Love those ramen noodles and gyouzas.

One store we went in had these cute little massaging chairs. Landon sat in one because he thought they were for kids, not expecting what was going to happen. He got so tickled that it was massaging his butt.
