Okinawa

OKINAWA CHURAMI AQUARIUM
(3rd largest in the world)

Entrance to the Butterfly Gardens

We all wore bright colors to attract the butterflys. They really seemed to like Megan's pink shirt.

The garden had red hats for its guests to put on. I wonder if they dissinfect these things?

The aquarium had this awesome system of nets for the kids to climb on.

Say "CHEESE!"

Couldn't resist taking a shot of this little girl. Unfortanately she was shying away from the camera so I couldn't get her whole face. Aren't those chubby cheeks adorable?

The kids liked that they could touch and even pick up the starfish and sea cucumbers.

This fish cracked me up...look at those big lips and eyeballs! He almost didn't look real.

Another picture of this weird-looking fish.

The aquarium was so large, a person really felt as if they were underwater diving. I guess that's the point!

This was the climatic moment for us... the moment we were all waiting on- the whale sharks. They were HUGE! The pictures don't do justice to the real size of these things. We arrived in time to watch them eat, too. Amazing!

Look at the size of those stingray! They were almost as big as the whale sharks.

This statue was the actual size of the whale sharks in the earlier photos. This gives you a better picture of just how huge they really are.

Getting some relief from the heat. Awww...

The park also had a fountain for kids to enjoy. Ashley was the only one that wore her bathing suit under her clothes, but that didn't stop all of them from getting soaked.
